Registration Week of 8/18 - 8/22, First Day of School
Kindergarten through 2nd grade students made bird feeders using toilet paper rolls, peanut butter, and bird seed. After making the feeders, the students hung them in trees and bushes across the campus for migrating birds.
Our 3rd and 4th grade students recently enjoyed an exciting and educational field trip to Wassermann Wranch in Alpine. This hands-on experience gave students the opportunity to pet and learn about the exotic animals' biology and natural habitats like a baby wallaby, camels, alpacas, and llamas. We had so much fun!
Congratulations to the high school boys and their great season. They defeated Sanderson for the Bi-District Championship. While they lost in the Area Championship against Robert Lee High School, we are so proud of their amazing season. Thank you to Coach Rodriguez for your leadership.
Big Bend Senior, Anthony Pattillo, was the selected by his teachers to represent our school. The criteria used was based on his character and being a good citizen in the community. The Alpine Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution presented Anthony with a certificate and a cash prize to help with college expenses.
