The class finished their Charlotte's Web novel study where they learned just over 90 new vocabulary words, learned how to use compare and contrast transitional words and phrases to write paragraphs comparing and contrasting the characters' features and answered comprehension questions after each chapter and made connections to what we were learning in our ELAR lessons. As we read, we also made a list of foods eaten by the characters and then read and followed recipes to make some of these foods so we could eat them as we watched the movie and paid careful attention to the similarities and differences between the film and the book.
